The StoreHouse started in 2020 as a response to the Covid-19 pandemic. Early in the pandemic businesses were required to temporarily close. This left many people scared and caused millions of people to become unemployed. Locale organizations, ministries and churches increased their services to help those in need but quickly ran out of the products and resources they needed to serve people. As a church we organized vacant warehouse space and equipment to use to secure truckloads of food and supplies that area organizations could utilize quickly. Most organization that we serve do not have the warehousing space, logistics or equipment to receive truck loads of product. We were able to mobilize trucks, trailers, warehouses, forklifts and an army of volunteers to get product into the hand of those that do the most good to those in need.
Since then we have continued to serve those in need with food and products and also supplies local organizations with products they need to serve the most vulnerable members of our society.
The StoreHouse is a program of CityLight Church.
Our Mission: Resourcing our community to alleviate hunger, decrease poverty, build healthy families and cultivate compassion and care for the less fortunate. We do this by resourcing front-line non-profits, churches, and social heroes and creating volunteer opportunities for everyday people to make a difference.
Our inspiration: Matthew 25:35-36 For I was hungry, and you fed me. I was thirsty, and you gave me a drink. I was a stranger, and you invited me into your home. I was naked, and you gave me clothing. I was sick, and you cared for me. I was in prison, and you visited me
