The more we become like Christ, the closer we come to understanding and fulfilling God’s purpose for our lives. This effort to know Him is a lifelong process that involves the Bible and the Holy Spirit. The Bible is our textbook and the Holy Spirit is our teacher. God gave us His Word so that we could know Him better. He sent the Holy Spirit to help us understand His Word and apply it personally to our lives. Even Bible scholars who have studied God’s Word for years find the Holy Spirit teaches them something new each time they open the Scriptures.
